It is time to love your body.
Hey everyone! I can't believe that I am just barely talking about this, I have talked about loving yourself in posts before, but today I am getting a little more specific. Yes you should love yourself, inside and out. This includes your body, and all of your flaws.
"I have a belly. And I have curves. And I still deserve love"- Amy Schumer
In this overly edited photo of me, you will see a few flaws. My arms, are quite fat. I call them my chicken wings. My boobs, are too awkward and don't fit my body, I have a weird figure when it comes to my stomach and hips, and it is obvious that I am starting a double chin. These are all my flaws that I personally see about myself. Yes, sometimes I attempt to fix them, cover them with makeup, force myself to the gym, or just stare at myself in the mirror and cry. At the end of all of that, what good did I do? Yes going to the gym is healthy and normal if you want to lose a pound or two and yes, wearing makeup is normal and fun. But if you are doing it to an unhealthy, constant, obsessive state because you don't like how you look is not okay.
Have you ever thought, people see you differently than you see yourself? Yes, you have probably heard that a thousand times, but no, really think about it.
You only see yourself when you pull up snapchat and take a selfie, go to the bathroom and look in the mirror, pull out your phone and see your reflection. But do you see yourself in your most beautiful moment? Do you see yourself when your face lightens up? Or when you are laughing too hard till you can't breathe? Or just when you are looking at something, and you look beautiful. No you don't see that. But other people around you see it, and they know you are beautiful.
Never let your low self esteem with your body drive you to doing stupid things. Never let your low body self esteem drive you into, overeating, starving yourself, making yourself throw up, anything like that. I want you to go look at yourself in the mirror right now and embrace all of those flaws. Plenty of people believe you are beautiful and it is time you believed it too. Wear what you want, take those pictures, go out, be confident, and love yourself. You deserve it.
Every girl AND boy has body esteem issues at one point in there life, but don't let it kill your confidence. You are beautiful. Thank you for reading this last minute, sappy confident booster. I love you all a lot.
