Hey everyone! Christmas is coming so soon, and I decided to share a few tips on how to get a little extra cash for Christmas shopping, just by cleaning out your closet. I hope you enjoy, and get some Christmas cash!
FIRST, CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSET.
Yes. sadly you have to do the thing we all dread the most. Cleaning out your closet. Make piles, or pull out some boxes. One pile is keep, another is give away. Take time doing this, go through carefully and neatly. Make sure you are thinking "do I still wear this?" and "will I miss it if I give it away?". Then finish sorting through.
This is a patient process but it will be worth it. After you have cleaned out and sorted through, it's time to do even more organizing. Hang/fold all of your "keep" pile back into your closet. Then dump your box of unwanted clothing. Sort it into two piles once again, one pile would be the donate pile, the other pile would be the sell pile. The clothes you want to sell are the good in shape clothing. It has no stains, or rips, and its still in great condition. The brand really helps too. If it is an "H&M" top, or "American Eagle"jeans, then your chances of selling are much higher. Also make sure all clothing is nice and clean. All of the other clothes that you do not think would sell, put it in the donate pile. Then get in the car with your two piles.
THE SELLING PROCESS.
Some second hand stores, buy clothing from you! For Utah people, the second hand store I have gotten the most luck from is "Plato's Closet'. But "Uptown Cheapsake" also buys your clothing. And if you have some kid clothing, "Kid to Kid" buys children's clothing. If you are not a Utah local, just look up second hand stores that buy, you will be surprised how many actually do it. These stores only look for gently used, nice branded clothing. Which is why I tried to be specific in my last paragraph. You will go in and they will buy some of the clothing, it is rare when they buy all. The most I have gotten from one of these stores is around 30$. So, they do not give out much. But it is some easy, extra cash.
Anyway, thank you guys so much for reading this week's blog post. I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope it gives you motivation to clean out your closet! Happy Holiday season my little daisies! (I was thinking of calling my readers daisies, cute am I right?")
