HOW TO HAVE A FABULOUS STAYCATION ON A BUDGET.
Hey guys! Let me apologize for the lack of posting, third quarter and junior year will be the death of me. And I mean it. But, because third quarter is coming to a close, this means spring break. And if you're like me, you are stuck at home. Or you're not going on a cool vacation like everyone else. This post is for all on budget staycation things you can do. So here is to all of my friends stuck at home, just like me. Lets get started.
HOME MADE SPA DAY.
When is the last time you took a nice, long, hot bath? Or done a face mask? Or maybe tried new hairstyles, or done your nails? Well, now is the time. Get on youtube and look up some hairstyle tutorials for your hair type. Whip out some nail polish and make yourself feel pretty. And of course, take a bath and do some skin care routines. You don't need fancy bath bombs, or a fancy face mask to do this. If you buy the right products you can do it nicely on a budget. Here are my products that are actually very reasonably priced.
Pictured above are some cheap face masks and bath bombs. The face-masks are from a brand called "Freeman". I have about seven of these masks because I got them for 4.30$ at Ulta. Click here to look at their website for it, right now it is buy one get one 50% off, so hurry! The bath bombs are just a bag I got at Target, they range to about 5$-10$ depending on the brand for a bag of mini ones. You can get them at Target, Walmart, they are everywhere.
BE A HOMETOWN TOURIST.
Pull out your phone, download Yelp, and type in some place that sounds good to you, that you've never been to before in your hometown. Wether it's a coffee place, a local shop, a museum, the possibilities are simply endless! Try local places that are in your hometown only, if you are on a budget, go for a place that is either free, like a museum. Or a place where it is optional to spend money, like a flea market, a festival, or a shop. You would be surprised about how many cool things there are when you truly try to look for it. Also, Yelp is just a suggestion, it is what I use but Google is always a big help too.
Discovering local shops in Salt Lake City is one of my favorite things to do. I highly suggest exploring your hometown.
PHOTOSHOOT WITH FRIENDS
This one is so simple, so fun and so free. You can do it whenever and wherever. You don't even need a fancy camera, or a fancy location. For example:
This was taken at my neighborhood park. That was walking distance. (But we drove because we are super lazy, lol). My little brother took this photo, and I edited this photo with my iPhone. You do not need a professional photographer and a fancy location to do these. They are super fun, plus they make your feed look gorgeous. It is such a win, win for your staycation!
STOCK UP ON THOSE BOOKS AND MOVIES YOU LOVE.
Make your bed or couch super comfy with fluffed pillows and a soft blanket, and let the binging begin! Wether it is a Netflix binge, a reading binge, or a movie binge, they are all relaxing and fun. You may feel lazy, but I mean you are on spring break. You deserve this all and more!!
If you are going on a reading binge, here are some of my favorites that I recommend;
Alright, well that does it for this blog post. Have an amazing spring break guys! And enjoy your staycation if you're doing it. As always, thank you for reading. It makes my heart super happy. Bye guys!
