Finally, junior year is coming to a close. The rumors about junior year are true, it is the worst year of high school. I think the hardest thing was the ACT, but I am down to my last week, and I couldn't be happier. Then it is senior year and I am off to being a journalist, public speaker, author, and so many more things. Now that the next three months are going to be no school and hot weather, here are some date ideas for you love birds, and some ideas for my single friends during the summer. (Yay single power!)
Make this summer memorable. Before we go into some date ideas here is my personal tip; do not spend every day with your significant other during the summer. This is speaking from personal experience, I could've spent more time with friends and family, heck I could've spent more time with myself. The relationship ended awfully so I am stuck with almost all of those summer memories with him stuck in my head, love them and spend time with them, just not 24/7. Okay, now here are some summer date ideas from yours truly.
Okay this is a very cheap and fun one. Go to one of your backyards, start up the grill or the fire pit and do a cookout. With the fire pit you can roast weenies and marshmallows, and with the grill you can do almost anything. Make a blanket fort, watch a movie on your laptop and cuddle the night away while munching on what you made from your cook out.
This is most fun with a group to be honest, but hiking is fun no matter what. Especially if you are in Utah, there are SO many places to hike. I know this is super basic but it is super fun.
Wake up super early together, and watch the sunrise. It is beautiful, and free. Then you can go get breakfast together and you can get some gorgeous pictures out of it too! And go watch the sunset too, and get a late night snack. Mother nature is beautiful, don't take advantage of it.
SINGLE& FRIEND GROUP IDEAS.
So, these ideas are mostly for a day out for either yourself or some friends. I don't have a boyfriend so I am going to have a lot of tips!
There are so many farmers market during this season, mostly on weekends. But go there and support local and get some good food and so much more. It is also a really good photoshoot spot, and just gives you good vibes overall.
Okay this sounds super boring, but seriously get sucked into a book this summer. There are so many cool bookshops out there, go find something new and read it on your porch with a glass of lemonade. Either that or start a journal, or art journal.
SWIMMING, RIVER RAFTING, ANYTHING WITH WATER!
Seriously, water ballon fights, river rafting, hitting up your local pool, it is always so much fun to do some water activities during your hot days, look up local pools or local lakes around you. They are either super cheap or free.
MAKE NEW FRIENDS.
This one is my huge goal, I want to spend my summer with amazing people, and maybe some new friends. I'm trying so hard to reach out to new friends, and I encourage you all to do the same. You have no idea how many memories you can make by just saying hello. Seriously, try it.
HAPPY SUMMER GUYS. Students, we did it, another year down. I am proud of all of you. May your summers be full of sleeping in, lemonade, late nights, and tons of laughs. I love you all!!! Enjoy these tips, I hope I was somewhat helpful.
