Tips to have a fun, trendy, and healthy school year.
Oh my goodness, this summer has been beyond crazy busy. So I can't even begin to express how sad I am that I haven't been able to blog too much lately. But soon enough I will be back into the school routine and this will become my top priority once again.
My summer has been full of laughs, burning in the sun, eating way too much Chickfila, and not getting any sleep. I have been driving all around the valley, making bracelets, going to work, responding to emails, and rehearsing. But sadly, the back to school commercials are back on every channel. Summer 2018 is almost over, and another school year begins. For me, I am finally a senior!! So this post is mostly my advice for all of my incoming freshman/sophomores. All together, this is my advice for a happy, mentally healthy school year.
Okay, you see these "get into a routine!!" threads almost everywhere on twitter when it comes to threads. And most of those are super extra, they tell you to add a crazy amount of things into your morning routine. My morning routine is so small and simple because I have the HARDEST time when I wake up early in the morning. So if you are like me, you would understand. Wether it is a super small routine like mine, or an extra long one like the twitter threads, it doesn't matter. Just get into a routine before school, this will really help wake you up and get your mind into school mode so you can focus. My small routine contains of this; Wake up between 5:50-6:05. Stretch in my bed a little, to get my body to wake up. Get up, sit there for a second and wonder if school is worth the pain. Realize I have to go anyway, then I go to the bathroom. I wash my face really quick then do my hair and makeup while listening to music. I try to mentally plan out the day so I don't forget anything at my house. I head downstairs and I drink water because I always wake up dehydrated. Then I eat something small for breakfast then I get in my car and end up at the school around 7:00-7:10. Getting in this habit prevents me from being late, and I am a little less sleepier. So get into routine habits!!
SERIOUSLY JUST GET YOUR DEGREE AND GET OUT.
Yes clubs and friends are SO much fun. I highly recommend joining clubs for your high school experience. You meet new friends and try new things and it is so cool. BUT do not let that get in the way of your grades. Especially do not let any drama with friends or relationships get in the way. At the end of a hard day you need to remember that high school is just a part of your crazy life, and hard days will pass. Remember that you are growing up and some people just aren't worth it. You only keep in touch with so many people from high school.
Okay honestly, this is probably the worst advice but HONESTLY SPEND WHATEVER KIND OF MONEY YOU HAVE, AS LONG AS YOU ARE HAPPY, CONFIDENT WHEN YOU GO TO SCHOOL. That is all.
Okay, this may have not been the best advice but it is what got me through eleven year. I wish you all the best school year start. I know you all will do wonderful. Thank you for reading and please subscribe below! Have an amazing week guys.
