Hey guys! Welcome back, I decided to talk about a question I get asked a lot. On my Instagram/Snapchat story you can see me either at home on school days. Or at school on school days. People usually respond with questions like "Wait why are you home?" "Do you home school now?" "Wait why aren't you at school?" In fact I have had random people just come up to me in my school hallway (that I don't know) and they're like "aren't you homeschooled?" So I decided to explain my theory on here, where at least four hundred people will see it, more if you share it.(Hint, hint) Also, all photos on here were taken by @//dianecrystalphotography she is an amazing photographer and I am so glad I got to collaborate with her!
I DO BOTH.
Let me just clear up, I do both homeschool and public school. For my public school we have A day's and B day's. So A day's I stay home and do my work from my computer and B day's I go to public school. All of my required classes, such as; language arts, chemistry, Spanish, etc. is all done at home, from my laptop. And then I wake up bright and early and go to public school B day's and do seminary (A class for my religion), math (because math online is WAY too complicated) Fin. Lit. and P.L.T (peer leadership team).
WHY I DID IT.
Okay, let me start with the fact that I go to one of the most populated schools in my state. My teachers have hundreds of students to take care of. Therefore, my late would show up on the grade book, I needed more one on one time from teachers that I couldn't get because I am just one of the thousands of kids at that school. With homeschool, the population is decreased for my teachers so grades are just admitted as soon as I turn them in. And my program allows me to tex/call my teachers which gives me the one on one time I need.
Also my anxiety was awful going to school every day. How packed the halls were, the amount of kids, sitting in one desk for eighty minutes. It not only increased anxiety, but it also increased depression. So homeschooling every other day has decreased those mental health problems beautifully. Education is not my strongest suit, so homeschool increased my GPA as well.
CALL ME SCARED.
I know that most of you are probably reading this and thinking "I go to school and I did fine!" and I know some of you think I am just a big cry baby that doesn't want to go to school everyday. Well, I understand your thoughts but please don't look down on me. I am just trying to get my education in the best way possible, all of our brains work differently. Thank you all for reading! And I hope you enjoyed the photoshoot, Diane is an amazing photographer!
Thank you for reading my loves, have an amazing rest of your week!
